Waveney Valley A.C are a competitive club and competes in various leagues throughout the year, as well as non league events. We always expect athletes to compete in the leagues for the club as part of their terms of membership, and you are required to wear your club vest at these events.
For team based events, these are chosen by Team Managers and Coaches after considering Personal Best Performances (PB’s), current form, competitive record in leagues for the Club.
We expect athletes to compete when selected except where there are extenuating circumstances. It is vital for those not selected for the scoring team to compete as a non-scorer, which may lead to you being selected for the main team. This is the only way to gain experience under competition conditions. Athletes are expected to be flexible as they may be asked to swap events at short notice.
