Eight members of Waveney Valley Athletic Club competed in the third and final race in this years Bungay Evening 10k series.
From a field of 134 athletes, Tim Earl was first home for Waveney in a time of 41:48, in 23rd place. Bill Kingaby finished 34th in 43:28 and second in his age group in each of the three races in the series.
David Mower recorded a fine personal best time of 45:38, in 50th place. Duncan Carter ran a time of 47:57, in 59th, just a few seconds down on his time in race two while Colin Maxwell beat his previous best time by almost half a minute with 48:59, in 66th place.
Steve Gibbs was placed 78th in 50:15, Louise Adamson 92nd in 52:29 and Stuart Smith 108th in 55:49.
At the Worstead 5-mile event on July 25, Louise Riches, in her debut race for Waveney Valley, finished 234th from 358 runners, in a time of 44:17 with Stuart Smith 262nd in 45:57.
On July 26, another new member, Anna Sharp, competed in her first race for Waveney, at the Fritton Lake 5k parkrun and recorded a time of 36:16. In last Saturdays race at Fritton, Mark T. Colman finished in a time of 27:18.
