The Great Yarmouth Half Marathon was held last Sunday and three members of Waveney Valley Athletic Club were among the 187 runners who took part.

Lisa Knights was pleased with her finishing time of 1:46.17 which was not far outside her best. She was placed 79th overall and was the trophy winner for first lady to finish in the Vet Lady 40-44 age category. Around a minute ahead of Lisa at the finish line was Tim Earl in 76th place in a time of 1:45.16. Alan Richardson was placed 127th in 2:00.40.

At the Gorleston 5k parkrun last Saturday, Wayne Freeman recorded a personal best 21:14, Jon Comyn was timed at 21:48 and Angela Mower 31:28.

At the Fritton Lake 5k parkrun on Aug 3, Wayne Freeman recorded 23:18, Paul Harrod 23:22, David Mower 25:11 and Angela Mower 32:47. Last Saturday at Fritton, David Pimlott ran a time of 29:29.
